Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes Meeting Held September 25, 2019
A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas was held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.
Call to Order:called to order at 7:08 p.m.
Prayer: Given by Kristi Staples
Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee members present were Arlene Joice, Kristi Staples, and Kim Chimblo.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from August 28, 2019 meeting tabled. Motion made by Kim Chimblo, second by Kristi Staples; all ayes motion carries.
Discuss and Consider
Zoning Change for property owned by Billy and Beverly Cordell. Property (616 N. Porch St.) currently zoned residential, would like to change to C-2. The Cordells would like to change the zoning so that they may open a fishing tackle store. Motion made by Kristi Staples to hold a Public Hearing on October 30, 2019 to consider the requested zoning change from R-1 to C-2. Second, Kim Chimblo; all ayes, motion carries.
Robert Stengele, Engineer with Eikon, represented Jim and Mavis Sauer at this month’s meeting in their absence. He presented their concerns and issues related to the approval of the plat for Creekside Crossing.
Motion made by Kristi Staples to approve Preliminary Plat as presented by Creekside Crossing to send to Tioga City Council for consideration. Second by Kim Chimblo; all ayes, motion carries.
Next Meeting: Next meeting scheduled for October 30, 2019 at 7:00 pm, will include Public Hearing for zoning change on Cordell property.
Adjourn: Meeting adjourned 7:43 p.m. Motion made by Kristi Staples, second by Kim Chimblo. Motion carried all ayes.

for Billy and Beverly Cordell. Their property (616 N. Porch St. G-0210 Sarah A.
Cross 2.4 acres) is presently zoned R-1 and they would like to change it to
C-2. Set public hearing if needed.
5. Jim and Mavis Sauer to address
P&Z concerning Creekside Crossing Addition. Robert Stengele, civil engineer for Onsuktant, would like to
address the commission as well.
6. Discuss and consider Preliminary
Plan for Creekside Crossing Addition that was tabled at last meeting. (70.431
acres, 267 lots, Sarah Cross Survey, Block 210. Mix of R1, R2 and Patio home
lots).
7. Open discussion and setting date for
the next meeting. Possible Action.
