Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting
Minutes Meeting Held March 27, 2019
A
regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga,
Texas was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main
Street, Tioga, Texas.
Prayer: Given by Kristi Staples
Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The
committee members present were Arlene Joice, Kristi Staples, and Elliot
Townsend. Kim Chimblo and Dale Cavin were not present. Guests present; Nick
Smith and Steve Moore both with Creekside Crossing and Pam Chapel, Tioga
citizen.
Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Elliot
Townsend to accept the minutes from the February 27, 2019 meeting. Seconded by
Kristi Staples. All ayes, motion carries.
Discuss and Consider
Discuss
and consider application for a development plan for Creekside Crossing, a
Planned Development.
Pam
Chapel allowed to speak against the building of smaller homes being considered
in Creekside Crossing.
While
the committee was very interested in Mrs. Chapel’s input and grateful for her
willingness to come before the P&Z to express her opinion, the committee
continued with its already decided course of action.
Elliot
Townsend made a motion to approve the development plan for Creekside Crossing.
Kristi Staples seconded. All ayes. Motion carries.
Dale
Cavin officially resigned from the Planning and Zoning committee to seek a
place on the Economic Development committee. As a committee we have valued his
input and wish him well in his new sought position.
Adjourn: Meeting adjourned 7:42 p.m. Motion
made by Kristi Staples, seconded by Elliot Townsend. Motion carried all ayes.

Notice is given that a regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be held March 27, 2019 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas, at 7:00 p.m.
These are open meetings, open to the public, subject to the OPEN MEETING LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS and, as required by law, are hereby posted at the Tioga City Hall on March 22, 2019, giving notice of date, time, place, and agenda thereof.
