A public hearing and regular meeting of the Planing and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas was held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Prayer: Given by Kristi Staples
Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee members present were Arlene Joice, Kristi Staples, and DaleCavin. Guests- Nathan Brown, Kim Chimblo, Mike Fritz, Kelly Litner, Dan Litner, and Danielle Litner.
Public Hearing Opened: 7:00
Request by Nathan Brown to change the zoning district for a lot located in the 7-Block of Lamar Street from R-1 partial zoning (single family residential) to all R-2 zoning (multi-family residential).
Public Hearing Adjourned: 7:06
Regular Meeting Opened: 7:06
Declaring a Quorum: Quorum remains, all current board members present. Arlene Joice, Dale Cavin, Kristi Staples
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from January 31, 2018 submitted for discussion and approval. Motion made by Dale Cavin, seconded by Kristi Staples to accept minutes. All ayes, motion carried.
Subdivision Ordinances
Committee discussed motion from public hearing, requesting zoning change from R1/R2 to all R2 to allow for the building of multifamily duplexes on the property known as G-1142 SAMGRR CO, covering 3.477 acres. Committee will recommend to the City Council in favor of this change. Motion made by Kristi Staples, seconded by Dale Cavin. All ayes. Motion carries.
