Meeting Held March 29, 2017
A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas was held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.
Call to Order: The P&Z meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m.
Prayer: Given by Dale Cavin
Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee members present were Arlene Joice, Janet Sloane, Kristi Staples, and Dale Cavin.
Approval of Minutes: January Minutes were read and approved, Dale Cavin motioned, Janet Sloane seconded, all ayes.
February no meeting-lack of quorum
In February engineer began preparing and working on Land Use and Capital Improvement Plan for the city of Tioga.
-June city gets improvement plan
-July Capital Improvement Plan updated and Public Hearing
-August plan comes to advisory committee (P&Z)
Subdivision Ordinances: Questions and comments about subdivisions need to be written and sent to Arlene Joice so that they can be discussed or answered as we go.
Arlene Joice gave an outline on Subdivision Ordinance (a check list)
The role of the Advisory Committee and procedures to update Land Use were read and shared from the City Engineer.
Updates of goings on in the city were read from Donna Carney including annexations, building permits and demolitions.
Will postpone meeting with Paul Rodamer and Michelle Maxwell until June.
Next Meeting: Next meeting set for April 26, 2017, 7:00 p.m.
Adjourn: Meeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m. Motion by Kristi Staples, seconded by Dale Cavin. Motion carries.
