MINUTES OF MEETING HELD June 26, 2013

A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga,
Texas was held Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main
Street, Tioga, Texas.

Call to order:  The public meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Declaration of a Quorum:  A quorum was declared.  The committee members
present were Arlene Joice, Janet Sloane, Kristi Staples and Linda Waldrop.
Richard Hartman was granted excused.
Prayer was given by Janet Sloane
Minutes:  Minutes for May 29th meeting were considered. A motion was made and seconded
to accept minutes.  Motion carried
Continued review of by-laws: Committee made final review of by-laws and
agreed all was in order. Prior to passing by-laws for city attorney review, Chair
Arlene Joice will request a confirmation that all dates as stated in by-laws are
correct and relative to dates in the Zoning Ordinance. A motion made and seconded
to accept by-laws as updated and written. Motion carried with all ayes.
Discuss Goals of P&Z: The committee had an opportunity to discuss the
potential for improvements in Tioga with Mayor Craig Jezek. Planning and
Zoning responsibilities at this time will be to revisit land use and ordinances.
Planning and Zoning committee will continue to discuss our visions for enhancing
opportunities for the residents of Tioga to envelop positive changes. There is
an on-going endeavor to research other small town development that could
potentially benefit the planning for our future.
Next Meeting: Planning and Zoning committee will meet Wednesday July 31st.
Adjourn:  A motion made and seconded to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. Votes: All Ayes, motion carried.

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas, beginning at 7:00 p.m.. This is an OPEN MEETING, open to the public, subject to the OPEN MEETING LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS and, AS REQUIRED BY LAW, is hereby posted at the Tioga City Hall on July 26, 2013, giving notice of date, time, place and agenda thereof.

4. Discuss and consider approving the minutes of the June 26, 2013 meeting. Possible Action.
5. Review updates of by-laws received from city attorney.  Possible Action setting public meeting for by-laws.
