Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting 
Minutes Meeting Held January 30, 2019

A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of 
the City of Tioga, Texas was held on Wednesday, January 30,
2019 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.

Call to Order: The P&Z meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.

Prayer: Given by Kristi Staples

Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee 
members present were Arlene Joice, Kristi Staples, and Kim 
Chimblo. Elliot Townsend and Dale Cavin were not present.

Approval of Minutes: Motion made by Kim Chimblo to accept the
minutes from the November 28, 2018 meeting. Seconded by Kristi 

Staples. All ayes, motion carries.

Discuss and Consider Amendment

Arlene read an e-mail to the committee from Hayter (the City 
Engineer) it was recommended that our group create a drainage 
stormwater ordinance that would refer people to a Drainage 
Design Manual, that would need to be compiled as a reference 
material.

We could look to other cities for ideas and a template to 
create this reference material.

Landscaping and city green spaces continues to be a topic of 
discussion and can also be addressed within a planned development.

Next Meeting:Next meeting scheduled for February 27, 2019 at 7:00 pm

Adjourn: Meeting adjourned 7:56 p.m. Motion made by Kristi Staples, 
seconded by Kim Chimblo. Motion carried all ayes.

Notice is given that a regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be held January 30 , 2019 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas, at 7:00 p.m.
These are open meetings, open to the public, subject to the OPEN MEETING LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS and, as required by law, are hereby posted at the Tioga City Hall on Janurary 25, 2019, giving notice of date, time, place, and agenda thereof.
Agenda:
1. Call the Planning and Zoning Meeting to Order. 
2. Prayer 
3. Declaring of a quorum. 
4. Discuss and consider approving minutes of the last meeting.  
5. Discuss and consider an amendment to add detention requirements to the
                    subdivision zoning ordinance. Review Results of engineer
’s evaluation
               6. Discuss and consider minimum landscaping requirements for new subdivision.
               7. Open discussion and setting date for the next meeting.
