Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes
Meeting Held July 26, 2007

A public hearing and regular meeting of the Planing and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas was held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.

Open Public Hearing

Call to Order: The P&Z meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Prayer: Given by Janet Sloane

Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee members present were Arlene Joice, Dale Cavin and Janet Sloane. Patrick Coyle and Kristi Staples were not present.

The public hearing convened to hear testimony on a specific use permit received from Carl Noble to use a portable building as a sales office at 305 N.Ray Roberts Parkway. Carl explained his plan for the business. Carl and Lynda Noble were the only guests present.

Public Hearing adjourned at 7:04 p.m. Dale made the motion and Janet made the second. Motion passed.

Regular Meeting

Call to Order: The regular meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.

Declaring a Quorum: Dale, Janet and Arlene were present.

Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved for March 29 and June 28. Dale made the motion and Janet seconded it.
Motion carried. The minutes for April 26 were not approved due to an inaccuracy. Will review in August meeting.

Committee considered the specific use permit of Carl Noble concerning using a portable building as a sales office at 305 N. Ray Roberts Parkway. Dale made a motion to approve and Janet seconded it. Motion carried.

Since several members of the commission were not present the item concerning the land use survey was tabled until the August 30th meeting.

Dale made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 p.m. with Janet making the second. Motion carried.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas will be held July 26, 2017 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas, at 7:00 p.m.

Notice is also given that a regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be held July 26, 2017 immediately following the public hearing.

These are open meetings, open to the public, subject to the OPEN MEETING LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS and, as required by law, are hereby posted at the Tioga City Hall on July 21, 2017, giving notice of date, time, place, and agenda thereof.

4. Discuss and consider an application for a specific use permit received from Carl Noble to use a portable building as a sales office at 305 N. Ray Roberts Parkway.

5. Revisit Land use survey and continued review of future projects of the commission.

6. Open discussion and setting date for the next meeting.
