Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes Meeting Held June 27, 2018
A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Tioga, Texas
was held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Tioga City Hall, 600 Main Street, Tioga, Texas.
Call to Order: The P&Z regular meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m.
Prayer: Given by Dale Cavin
Declaring a Quorum: A quorum was declared. The committee members present were
Arlene Joice, Kristi Staples, and Dale Cavin, and Elliot Townsend. Kim Chimblo was not present.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from April 25, 2018 submitted for discussion and approval.
Motion made by Dale Cavin, seconded by Elliot Townsend to accept minutes. All ayes, motion carried.
Minutes from May 30, 2018 submitted for discussion and approval. Motion made by Kristi Staples,
seconded by Dale Cavin to accept minutes. All ayes, motion carried. Minutes from February meeting
amended and submitted. Motion made by Dale Cavin to accept the amendments, seconded by Elliot
Townsend. All ayes, motion carried.
Review and Discuss Current Projects
No new project information from City Hall. Discussion with the city on parking spaces continues with
prospective Dollar General on 377, South of Friendship Baptist Church. Concerns discussed among
committee members concerning the issue of whether or not this will continue to be a Dollar General
in the future.
Next Meeting: July 25, 2018 7:00 p.m.
Adjourn: Meeting adjourned 7:45 p.m. Motion made by Dale Cavin, seconded by Kristi Staples.
Motion carries all ayes.
